BorgWarner or Big 16G Turbo??
ORIGINAL: matt02708
Borg Warner has been around forever and make a lot of stock parts for some nice cars such as mercedes benz and the chevy corvettes. How many of you have actually used their transmissions? Or did you just assume they are garbage because you heard it from some guy who heard it from another guy?

You owned a Monte Carlo, thats why. Haha just kidding. I didn't say they were the best and i'm not baggin on you guys i'm just giving some info on the product just yahoo search borg warner you should be able to find their main site I think they've been around since like 1957. I have borg warner plug wires on my eclipse they wern't exactly cheap, but I have a friend that works at KOI and hooked me up. Honestly i'd get the EVO 3 big 16g without hesitation. I'm just sayingBorg Warner isn't some cheap autozone crap they are sold at KOI and they make some mean turbo's, and the turbo's are insanely priced.
Im sure they are great turbos, i just have never heard on anyone using it ona DSM. So trying to get an exhuast manifold my be a pain and trying to get the mount it in there. Plus the 16g is just something that has been tryed and true to work great for the dsm, mounts right up, and can give up to 350hp. So its kinda hard for us to tell you when there really isnt any hard evidence to show that this turbo would be good for the dsm. Also i dont know why the preson told you the lag is bad with a 16g. Those turbos spool up pretty damn fast
