HKS SSQV, Greddy Type S, Turbo XS H34 all recirculating. These would be on a 2G Eclipse.....Also which sounds better and is louder or more noticable during recirculation, the hks, greedy or turbo xs. Would a new intake and upper intercooler pipes also help with making the sound louder? Or what is the loudest bov out that is or can be made to recirculate? Thanks so much, I'm new to all this so bear with me....

 

they all make totally different sounds and probably just about equally as loud. The HKS is one of the best BOV's you can get for the cost. But seriously there are other things you can spend money on for a turbo car to improve it than worrying about the sound

 

HKS is the best you can get. Tial is up there with it but it cant be recirced

Well good mods on a turbo car are intake, exhaust, and a MBC and boost guage. Those things will give you some good gains. Im not sayin getting that BOV is a bad idea because it can handle just about any boost you put at it, but just dont get it for the wrong reasons. Sound to me isnt as important as performance. But thats just me

if you aren't gonig to get the MAF-T than you are limited to the SSQ, Type S, or Type RS (that is if you want a quality bov), those are top of the line and will handle any boost you throw at it.

 

only the HKS can handle anyboost you throw at it the others after about 28-29 they are becoming worthless. Supra guys run 50PSI on the HKS and it doesnt leak

 

from what i've gathered, ppl looking for a "cool sounding bov" are more into sights, and sounds rather than performacne. Which led me to assume he's not pushing anywhere near 30+psi, and anybody who was, if they were smart, would be usinga maft along w/ a tial. that's why i gave those names and bov'. thats all
