I posted a few days ago about my car not going into gear and i said i though it was either the master or slave Cylinder,well gues what, it wasnt. After changing those didnt solve the problem we decided to drop the tranny to see if the problem lied elsewhere. It turns out that 4 teeth completely broke off of myACT 2100 lb clutch, which i bought barely five months ago. I calledACT and they said to send them the bad clutch and they would decide if it was a deffect orabuse that caused the failure. If they dont replace that ****ing clutch i am going to bereally pissed.

 

that sucks. How many miles are on it?

 

Probably around 5,000 miles. Im going to go ahead and have a stock clutch put on untill i get this **** worked out. If they send me a new clutch ill put it on when i have the tranny rebuilt. This **** pisses me off though. Im going to spend more than 700.00 dollars on labor and parts because of their bad clutch.

 

Wow that does suck, if they dont give you another one I would raise hell!

 

I plan to raise hell reguardless lol. Im going to try to get a free upgrade out of all this, im thinking about trying to get a 2600 lb. I figure if i have to spend over 700.00 dollars because of their bad product, they could at least compensate me somehow.

 

Damn right they do something for ya, 5k miles on a clutch is crap!

It will probably be about two weeks before i find out anything. I still have to wait for the stock clutch to come in so I can get it put and get the ACT Clutch removed. Then i have to mail it back to their office in california so they can try and determine the cause. I have a feeling this might get ugly.

 

See if they can take care of all expenses. There is no reason for you to be paying out of pocket fees for this.

 

I agree with you sebba. I asked the CSR at extreme psi where i ordered the clutch from if act would cover the charges, and he said no. But with enouch bitching im sure i can change their minds lol.
