Default Burnt valve maybe?

Okay so after finally getting everything set with my idle and having the car out together, my brother wants me to fire up the eclipse. After noticing a pulsing in the exhaust, he does a dollar bill test (see a subaru forum lol XD) and determines that multiple times, the exhaust tried to suck in the bill, meaning there was a vacuum effect going INTO the exhaust. He says its probably a burnt exhaust valve, but does anyone else have any thoughts?

Not positive on this one but it sounds like it might be or you might have an exhaust leak? but don't take my word on it wait for one of the pro's to come on give you the right answer lol

I dont think so, I mean it idles a little rough but I dont think its missing. Then again it dies idle up at 1500 so that could be throwin me off. Im gonna hope on kaisers response and check the exhaust for leaks, I dont recall if I went back and checked everything when I installed the new exhaust. Otherwise Ill be pickin up a compression test kit and goin thru the cylinders and see what I can find. Ill also pay more attention to the idle, it was kinda hard to do with the hood down and the loud catless exhaust.

Come to think of it, I dont recall it sounding that bad before I cleaned the egr and iac valves, could that have somehow thrown something off?

lol not yet, I still havent found the kit my dad had in his garage, so I gotta wait til payday (wednesday) to pick up a new compression test kit. Ill be doin it then. Either way Im actively looking for anyone who wants to get rid of their spyder for my RS. I mean, I know its a base model, but it has a lot of time and money out into it. I like my RS but if I can get my hands on a spyder Id be really happy. Thats why I stuck with simple bolt-ons. I can remove them with ease and put them into a spyder.
