Hey guys I just changed my starter and fuel filter (98 GSX) and now when I accelerate and put in the clutch the RPMs go all the way down to 0 and the car dies. I don't know WTF happend? Could there be air in the fuel line or something? There were no fuel leaks after I installed the filter.

 

does it idle fine, not surging or anything?

 

no it idles smooth. It is only after a push on the gas pretty hard then put the clutch in and let the RPMs go down, occasionally it will die for like a second then suddenly come back. I don't get it.

 

could it have anything to do with the battery?

 

sounds like a boost leak. Make sure you hooked everything back up.

 

Good call, I think thats what was going on, I totally forgot to tighten one end of the UIC tube (whoops) And I have an idea that will help sense it almost fell off.

 

yea id say thats a pretty major boost leak, haha. Hopefully that was it
