Default Chains on GSX

So I live in oregon where it can be snowy, next week I am going home for thanksgiving break, if there are chains required then am I going to have to chain up all 4 tires? How does that work?

Yeah thats what you usually do.

You can actually get these tire insert things that you put in the canyons of the tires... and you just glue them in there.... and when it touches ice they expand out and that helps with the traction.... or just buy snow tires.

hmm, ok well that sucks, I would get snow tires but now I live on the west side of the mountians where it doesn't snow, but my familyh lives on the other side so it is kind of pointless to do snow tires. I guess I will just have to get chains.

Well I have tires tha tare considered "all season" but the problem is, when it snows on the pass here you are often required to have "chains or traction tires" which means studs or studless winter tires.

It's not that I think I will have a problem it is just that in order to get over the pass here chains or studs are required.
