I often get the misconception that there are a lot of things you could do to make the car fast. But it seems that there aren't many options afterall. From what I've gathered, you upgrade the air intake. And maybe think about the exaust, but that would most likely fail inspection. And from there...what do you do? I haven't found a real answer to that.

Boost gauge and boost controller.

Dude... that is one of the most customizable 4cyl cars on the planet.

There are just very few 'cheap' things.

Whats the budget?

Let's say $300 is the budget. What can you do besides the intake/exhaust? And what does the exhaust do actually?

Well a good exhaust is more than 300 alone, so scratch that.

I would do:

Greddy Type RS blow off valve + recirculation kit
Manual Boost controller
Boost Gauge

Set theboost to 16psi.. and have fun.

That adds up to about 300ish.
