Default check engine...

i just bought a 95 eclipse 2.0 non turbo. it has a cold air intake, msd ignition coil and wires, and a euro muffler. heres my question. the check engine light is on, and i was told it has to do with the cold air intake and there is something i can do to the o2 sensor that will fix it. sounds odd to me, but as im still learning the car, ill just ask. if anyone has a clue, id be forever indebted.

If I recall correctly the 95 n/t doesnt have a downstream o2 so wouldnt a cat delete be irrelevent? I have a test pipe in mine and I dont get the CEL.

Does the cai have the tube leading from the intake pipe to the valve cover? Or at least a breather on the valve cover? Its a vacuum line, throwing off that vacuum perhaps could send up a CEL? Ill check it out when I can actually get my car turning over again
