Default check engine light

Well for those of you who have been following my posts lately, you know that my 95 talon TSi has been running pretty boggy, and really roughly idles, and is hard to start sometimes.......WELL today the check engine light came on. MAF?
any suggestions?

Exactly. Get a code # and we can go from there. Advance and Auto Zone should do it for free right there in the parking lot.

Well depends on why it came on. One suggestion when you take it to the place autozone.... to get the cel code pulled and cleared if it comes on once more after it is cleared get it checked once more to make sure it is pulling the same code. I had to do this about 3 times to fix my old eclipse was throwing codes for ignition but it was a part that was effecting the ignition that was causing the problem and abotu the 3rd time it thrw a code for the bad part.

Code check. Ask them specifically what the code is reading. Most of their "free checks" have the words scrolling on the device but they only tell you the number. EXACTLY! Not "oh it says senor something." Get EXACTLY what it is...did I say EXACTLY!?
