if it's simply for light purposes, go carbon fiber it's lighter than a clear hood and IMO looks wayyy better!! probably just about the same price if not cheaper anyways.

 

i want something really light Hood and light front fenders too......would be nice cause my GST is really heavy in the front. anything to lighten the front up a bit...makes my tires look almost flat. but there not

i appreciate for all thecommentsguys just to let you guys know this hood is not for me it is for my cousin because he is trying to built a show car anyways i have another post for my cousins car too. i am not in to ricer look i rather be a sleeper and street race. onemore thing please let me know if you guys know where i can get that hood because i couldnt find anything with my research

oem is probably the hardest design to come across.

 

you could have a custom shop do one as well for ya, but if you want a lighter hood and durability go with CF hoods. but if he wants a clear hood then so be it, he might live in a nice city that people appreciate cars unlike some places out there.

 

would it make my front not so heavy...how much lighter do you think the carbon fiber hood and fenders make the front end...and can i paint it

 

i would say it would make the hood at least 5-10 lbs lighter if not more at a glance, i lifted up my hood (OEM heavy) and a carbon hood and it was a huge difference and yes you can paint them, i've seen it done.
