The Elise didn't have one.... started it in gear once

Well sk8 if you are running a 7 bolt, be prepared for problems lol

He's got a 6 bolt so he shouldn't have any problems.

Yes, but the throw out bearing is still unnecessarily worn out, no matter what version you have.
