Default clutch question?

ok so ive had my car for about 3-4 months now and ever since i got it ive never truly been able to get into it in 1st. i always kinda have to baby it, ya kno, but im not sure wuts wrong. i just got to thinking and was talkin to one of my friends bout it and he thinks my clutch fluid could be low, therefore causing my need for babying 1st. so but could that be the reason for my 1st gear babying??

simple answer to that.. check your fluid levels haha... but that should cause a problem unles it is so low that you are sucking air into the lines.. but it might be linkage issues... does it shift good into all other gears? have you replaced your transmission oil with good oil??

yea, you could possibly just have bad oil in the tranny, only god knows how long it has been in there, and that could cause gears to grind.. and low clutch fluid levels could also, but i would think that would cause all gears to grind..

yea, hmm, well then might not be low fluid level then cause it only grinds in 1st and only once in a while in 2nd, but yea im def gonna go then and get the oil all checked out at like jiffylube or somethin, haha, the body has 161k the engine im not sure, bought it from a dealer that said the guy who traded it in changed the engine when he owned it but didnt have the paper work to show it and what the milage was on the motor, it runs really nice though and ive had no problems with the motor thus far so i guess the guy wasnt lying

I wouldstart by bleeding the clutch. Or it might just be a linkage problem.

You know its weird, i have realised that a lot of problems come in batches. Last year there was a period of about 4 weeks whereabout 10 of these 420a's had head gasket failure
