CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT WITH A SIMPLE QUESTION ??? I DO ALL MY OWN AUTO REPAIRS AND WORK BUT I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT YOU DO WITH STOCK AIRBOX AND AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR WHEN YOU PUT AN AFTERMARKET COLD AIR INTAKE ON AN ECLIPSE ? DO YOU JUST LEAVE IT HOOKED UP ELECTRICALLY AND REMOVE THE STOCK RUBBER AIR INTAKE PLUMBING ? THANX FOR ANY HELP,AND I HAVE THE ENTIRE FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL ON DISC IF ANYBODY NEEDS HELP WITH THEIR 90-94 ECLIPSE,IT'S 1216 PAGES AND DOESN'T LEAVE OUT ANY INFORMATION.

I just installed a cold air intake on my Son's 92 Eclipse. We removed the air sensor with all the metal and brackets.

The carruns fine, but gets a check engine light. Ireinstalled the sensor in a baggie and zip tied it to the brackets. I replugged it and the engine light went out. However, the performance is not so good now... lot's of bogging.

I'm wondering if there is a fake sensor that bypasses hte OEM unit and makes the intake system happy.

How's your install doing?

hook it up inline with the cold air box...if the air box is still under the hood close to the intake the air insn't so cold anymore when the engine warms up in fact it would be warmer but i would have to see what your working with to be more accurate

send a picture of the set up on the car and the kit you have
