Default Connecting Rods

hey, i have a 1996 eclipse with the 420a engine. I am putting a stage 2 turbo system on it by hahn racecraft. I am also going to redo the bottom half by getting new rods and pistons. I was looking at some wiseco pistons, are they any good? is wiseco a good brand? also what rods would u recomend? Thanks

I recomend buying a GST or a GSX, why would you go through all that trouble?

Eagle is a good brand for connecting rods. And wiseco is fine for pistons. But be careful because most of the time wiseco are overbored so youll need your block to be bored a bit

Thanks for deleting my post.

I have heard a couple not so good things about Wiseco. I would go with a Groden/Ross Rod/Piston combo.

A side question (that was deleted) why are you doing this to a 420a, when you could just get a GST?

Just let him do what he wants to his 420a. Who cares if it isn't worth it, its not your car.

I know he did but, its getting old everyone telling gs/rs ownersto buy a gsx/gst. If they feel the need to spend let them. They can find out the hard way lol.

some people just really like their gs/rs and would like more out of it so they would naturally want to turbo it.

also sebba he didnt ask for opinions on his project as to wether or not he should do it. All he asked is what are some good pistons and rods. Also some of the parts that you told him to get i dont even think that they are available for the 420a. And if they are i think they are overkill IMO.

The eagle rods will do just fine for what hes looking for and they are alittle cheaper. And i dont think he is gonna max out what the wiseco's are capable of. And i havnt heard enough bad reviews on them to just throw them out.
