convert 99 gst spyder to gsx spyder
i have a 1999 spyder gst with 77,XXX miles, maunual transmission, its in great shape and i really like it, but i have had it for 2 and a half years now and i want to have awd. Im tired of loosing traction and i would like to upgrade to an evo in the future but i got the wild idea to swap a gsx drive train under it. i would like some responses about what it would take. i already know i need a transfer case drive shafts and new rear suspension and a gas tank. anything i am forgetting? how much would a transfer case and everything run me?
you basically need an awd donor car. you need an awd transmission, transfer case, drive shaft, gas tank, rear sub frame, rear suspension, rear differential, etc etc. its not just bolting up either, there is a lot of cutting, fabricating and welding involved. trust me, im just finishing up with an awd conversion on a 98 gst lol.
if that doesnt discourage you, then here is a writeup on how to do it
