Default Creaking Clutch Pedal?

I have a 99 GST and the clutch pedal just recently started creaking when I kick it in. It happens about 60%-70% of the time I press or depress the clutch. Ive sat parked and pushed it in slowly to the floor and it usually creaks more often. This doesnt have anything to do with the hydraulics does it? I havent had a chance to look at anything yet, I was hoping to get pointed in the right direction first.

Side note, I have never experienced or heard of a clutch pedal creaking.

If i'm not mistaken, theres a rubber bushing behind the pedal.
If so, thats possibly the problem.

First off I'd recommend while the car is off and parked with the cable brake on, get down on your floorboard and press the clutch with your hand. See if you can pinpoint the sound's EXACT location. Then troubleshoot from there. Not trying to be a ***** just saying that telling us there's a squeak is like saying there's a weird noise from the engine. More info = better troubleshooting

Thanks ill check that out next chance I get. I do know its at a few points that it creaks on its way to the floor board and not a constant thing. So it will creak-smooth-creak...something like that. But ill try to let you know if its in specific locations or just random spots.

its probably just the return spring. mine did the same thing, just a squirt of wd-40 should take care of it

I second that. I also went ahead and sprayed the joints.

Depends where it is. If there's a grease point then yes if not then wd-40 will work into the area and help for a while
