door panel speakers

door panel speakers
Well today i installed the door speakers, since mine I discovered were the infinity stock and were completely damaged beyond repair...I have a 99 mit eclipse spyder gs...
The place that I bought them from said they were 5.25 inches round that fit into the door panel, however they were dead wrong...
I cut the bracket from the infinity speakers and rigged the speaker into the bracket of the old speaker using cutters and some extra bolts, came out very nice and sounds great!
I was just wondering if anybody else knew if their door panels were 5.25 and wondering if I should complain to the place I bought them.
Everywhere i check for speakers online, circuit city, best buy, etc says that they are 5.25..somethings deffinately wrong there
thanks

RE: door panel speakers
they are 6.5, i got a really good deal on 5.25 rockfords, so i just rigged it to fit, sounds great and luckily you cant see the speakers so you'd never know haha...
what size are the rear speakers..
when i bought my 99 mit eclipse spyder gs convert, the front dash speakers dont work still! and i just replaced the door speakers..
how difficult is it to switch the dash speakers, ripping apart a dash for those small speakers, dont even seem worth it to me..
