Okay, say I mod my car completely (which is a 420A GS) without putting a turbo, nitrous, or anything really big on it. What exactly can I get out of it?

with high compression pistons 10.5:1, head work, cams, and a tune.... mabey 140-145whp. but lets price this out
pistons - about 410
head work - 250-350
cams - 450-550
safcII - 250
tune (dyno) - 200 bucks
that's over 2000 dollars. lets assume you paid 5k for your car. if you sold your car for 5k right now and used that 2k that you would be putting into your car and added it that's 7k. you can buy a nice gs-t or even a gsx for the price and start out with more whp than you would end up with on a 420a. read me?

Actually I did pay 5k for it. And I've seen a few GS-Ts for 4-7k. Problem is, I can't sell my car (yet). Can you price this for me?:
warped valve cover
loose valves
low compression in ^that cylinder
I dunno wtf is wrong with my tranny but it needs to go.
What do you think, without fixing it how much is it worth?

Ebay it, and it will be cheap... maybe post a want ad in the forums... Though, I can tell you this much... DONT go to Cottman Transmission. Ive never heard (out of 4) any DSMs going in there and coming outdriving correctly... at least not any 4G63ts... Maybe the 420as tranny is diff... but I thought they were the same...

Okay, I need to make enough money to buy another car. That DSM is the only thing I have so...
I want to get it fixed and sell it for as much as possible. My original plan was actually to get a GS-T. I dunno what it is with me and FWD. But if i fix it all, whats the max i can get for it. I know a guy that will fix my car for freeplus the cost of parts. Im afraid that if I put too much money into making it run right, that I wont get that money back from selling it.

(And I still need a dummies guide to the eclipse)

Well for a GS i cant see being able to sell it for more than 4-5k.

And i already asked you about the "dummy guide". What are you looking for!!!!

If you want something to give you all the DIY stuff on it, or wiring diagrams and such then get a manual. Thats all i can tell you
