ok so i was doing a little research and found that there are a few more cars that have the 4g63 engine than i previously thought...heres my question...i know that there are different types of the 4g engine like the evo has taller heads and what not...so would a 4g out of an eagle talon tsi fit a 97-99 eclipse gs-t?? any help is great...

 

Its the same car. will fit.
actually, evrything will fit.
if you completely strip an eclipse and a talon, you can swap evrything and pretty much intermix evrything and it'll all work.
BTW ONLY if theyre a GS-T / Tsi , or both non turbo
4g63 swap into a non turbo 420a car isnt worth the fabricating disaster it takes to do it.

 

yeah thats what i was thinking but i just wanted to make sure...i know someone with a tsi and im looking for a gs-t shell so im just going to get him to let me have the engine out of the tsi and put it in the gs-t...but def thanx for the help...one more q though...would eclipse body kit for like 97-99 fit the eagle...mabe just do a body conversion instead of engine swap and what not...

 

as far as i know the stock body from an eclipse will bolt up to a talon. but you will have to get a front facia, and rear fascia from an eclipse before you an get a kit for it or it won't fit.

 

you might also need the headlights for the conversion. If you do a search on here i know it was talked about with the body conversion between the two

 

sweet man i might just for now buy a talon and convert it over to the real sexiness that it wishes it was originally born to be...so i'll prob need headlight conversion which is kool with me b/c i like the headlights on the 2g eclipse way way better anywayz and i need the facias for the front and rear...ok so what about tail lights can i convert those too or am i just trying to do too much for what im gonna try and do...

 

Ok i did the search and turned this up.

1. 95-96 Talons and Eclipses will need 97-99 Eclipse headlights to convert to a 97-99 Eclipse front
2. 95-96 Talons can swap directly to a 97-98 Talon bumper with no need for new headlights.
3. 97-98 Talons will need 97-99 Eclipse headlights to swap to a 97-99 Eclipse front.
4. 97-99 Eclipse will need 95-96 style lights to swap to any other 2g bumper
