The evolution has a larger turbo running alot more boost, along with a better flowing head.

The Evolution 1-3 is "almost" like the 2g eclipses. Same engine and orientation, but a few things are different. The evo engine won't drop into a 2g like it would in a 1g. You'd need to do some custom work to get it to fit, but it shouldn't be all that much. Like MrPikolo said, The evo's had a bigger turbo, a 16g, and ran more boost along with having a better head. It also had the cyclone intake manifold which had something like dual butterfly valves or something like that(?). Also, minor changes such as cams, pistons, ane eventhicker gaskets helped make it produce the extra power.

Agreed, the Evo's have 16G's, which I believe are bigger than the "Big" 16G series for DSMs, most just get an Evo 16G. They're the same engine more over, but like Spyder said, the major difference in the motor and power is the internal parts.
