Does anyone have or had a computer chip from ebay that gives you 22+ HP? they are pretty cheap but dont know if to trust on that, and if so can you tell me if is good to put it in the car.

Most of them are simply a resistor that doesn't do crap and can definately be harmfull if not installed correctly.

 

dsm chips wont give you extra horsepower, but will aid you in tuning your car more correctly

Sorry bud you SOL, I feel your pain, the only company that makes a chip for the 420a is howell automotive and there for 97's only. 95-96,97,98-99 all have different ecu pinouts. You can splice it in, if you wnat to take the time to do it but the car will run like ****. Also the chip is only ment for cam appliactions, which is pretty cool if you want to run n/a. I personally have talked to gary howell and he refuses to put the time and energy into making a chip for the other 2gnt's because "the market is insufficent" so we are kinda stuck with our own know how. On the birght side mega squirt is avaible for the 420a, but its kinda a do it your self type deal.
