i just pulled the motor from my 99 gst and from the guy i bought the car from he said it was a jdm motor. and i cant seem to find anything anywhere on the web telling me anything about the motor. there is a bar code on the intake side of the bloke that reads RP0502X8 othere then that there is a stamp on the exhaust side that read 4g63 thats it no other number are on the block. im just trying to figure out where the motor came from and if its the original or not. and the tranny has a stamp theat reads KF5m332SPZT and unther that it reads WX6050. any help would be most help full thanks

 

well if it was original it would have the VIN number on the block. Since that bar code has that strange number on it my guess would be that it is not original.
