Make sure the head is not warped too and if it is then you'll need to get it machined.

 

well with a blown head gasket you usually want to machine or sand down the head anyway

 

hey by chance does the galant(maybe it was the mirage) have the same engine as an eclipse/talon?

an older galant though. becuz there is a galant or mirage down the street from me that i could buy for $800.

there is an old galant that came turbo which was called a VR-4 which had the 4g63 in it and was AWD. It was built from 1988-1992

 

nevermind then...thats not the galant down the road lol. this one looks like a 1995 or so.

doesnt the dodge avenger have a 420a or 4g36 in it?

 

There were two trims. The standard came with the 420a engine and the SE came with a 6g73 V6 engine
