hey guys, i was about 3 1/2 clicks away from buying my Greddy Emanage yesterday before finding out that it doesn't control timing. . . well for the final HP range that i'm gonna be huntin for i'm gonna need an management system that can control timing. so i was just getting some input, what do yall suggest for a good system that is under 1k?

tha'ts what i'm concerned about. i just looked on dsm link.com and read up on it. the way that they state everything it implies that it's only for the turbo'd models. i sent them an e-mail asking them that. also they say that i have to send my ECU to them to have DSM LINK put on it, does anybody know how long that takes??? this is my daily driver.

Utek work on your cars too maybe?? I think the Emangane can controll timing slightly cant it? It the SAFC that works timing against you in order to tune AFR

"the unit has the ability to control a 16x16 ignition timing map" this was directly copied from Greddy.com i'm not very knowleged when it comes to engin controlls but does this mean that i can control timing???

16x16 its a spreadsheet that is 16 up and down 16 across.

if you watch this video you see the laptop up close and it is reading either the timing or fuel maps cant tell but you can see the setup

ok... i know what a spreadsheet is, and i under stand the 16 up/down and 16 left/right but... would that be enough timing control to keep me safe at apx 20psi?

I checked with a friend from another board that has a turbo GS. Here is the info he gave me.
"If he is wanting to do about 20 psi, tell him to look into Megasquirt or the Hahn Portfueler. Tell him to search 2g ntdotcom also for plenty of info on that subject."
There is a very recent thread about a guy asking what he needs to run 20 psi."
