I see that your looking at the long block rebuild kit, I wouldent install the cams untill you get the turbo kit up and running though.

The labor needed for a full install is a compleat tear down of the motor, removal of the block, cyl. hone, head decked, block assyembly, and motor assyembly... I got quoted at 2500 not including the price of the kit, and that was from a friend.

basically, If I could make a suggestion... Get a 90 or 91 gsx/tsi awd/ rs turbo awd. The 6 bolt motor is nasty, the cars are cheap, and upgrades are cheap too. They may not look good but they got the go.

why tho? i know they dont look as good as the 2g. but after all its like a 15 years old car. many problems might exist. and i dont want to throw so much moneys into fixing it.

for the fact it has a 6bolt motor and is not prone to crankwalk which being so old you might have to rebuild the motor anyways so the 7bolt after rebuild is fine has as much chance of crankwalk as a 6bolt. so there are ups and downs to both age Vs crankwalk both may require a rebuild.

my guess is going to be around or more than 3k. But if you think about it...you can get a 1g for around 2k. So you buy the car and for 5 grand you got a nice car
