yeah man generally the evos have a 4g63t engine but the difference is they come with a bigger turbo and intercooler than the ones that come out of the gst and gsx eclipses and they have a taller head on them...other than that theres usually not a difference...as far as the srt-4 engine let me know how it goes if you decide to do it man b/c right now i have a 420a and if thats a fairly simply swap i might be able to consider that for my car lol...

all evo's have the 4g63t. the VIII's came w/ a 16g and the IX's come w/ a 20g. they also came w/ FMIC's not SMIC's. they are also turned 180 degreas from the GST's and GSX's. i have heard of ppl asking about dropping the SRT-4 engine in there but dont' know of anybody that has done it. i would thing it would be a PITA since the turbo is mounted on the rear of the engine (towards the firewall) and would take much fabrication and "caoxing" of the firewall.

no need to talk about swapping an engine anymore, any person i their right mind that doesn't wana spend over 5k on a swap when they can buy the car w/ the engine in it for for the same price.
