i want to eaither do a rebuild, swap of the same engine, or swap it for a gs-t or gs-x. would would be a good idea wold the gs-t, swap directly to my 5spd? would it bolt up to my mounts how much work would it be? would it be a better idea to just turbo my non-turbo 2.0, after a swap for remanufactured or rebuild? i was reading something the other day and it said that a evo engine is the same as the turbo edition eclipse but with a diff head setup. is that true would i wanna get one of those and put it in there? im not looking to spend a crap load of money.... and im kinda new to import, all my machanic abilities come from a 04 and a 1967 mustang

Simple answer, rebuilt what you have and leave it at that. You cannot swap the 4g63 into a rs or gs.

You cannot swap a GST or GSX motor into it. Turboing it would be a waste of money becuase it is going to cost you about $1400 or more to put out what the GSX and GST do stock, not to mention the rebuild. And the New EVO motors don't work. If you want somthing faster it is best to just get a GSX or GST, becuase you will save thousands in the end.
