Is the thermostat getting the fan to kick in at the right temperature? Start the car and let it sit until the fan kicks in and see what temperature that's at. Other things to look for include dirty coolant (contamination, possibly from bad gasket), bad radiator cap, really filthy radiator grills or even twisted/compressed hose.
