Default fixin the car... got a few big problems..

i just got done putting in the boost guage like 15 mins ago. and i got in the mbc... and i got a few more problems.... and questions... i hear a loud noise coming from the power steering pump and it is leaking.... could it be that i put in the wrong power steering fluid...or it just broke..... cuz i am thinking about goin to get a new one.. also, the boost guage... is reading 15lbs of VACUUM... even if i adjust the mbc... if i plug up the little hole on the mbc it goes up to 20lbs... is that bad? what could be wrong cuz i thought it was supposed to register zero.... i dont have the nerve to drive my car right now... i really don't want it to break from the powersteering pump noise... what should i do?

but, how much vaccuum am is supposed to be registering at idle? it says 15 lbs... does the mbc have any affect on how much the vaccum is at? does that have any affect on the boost? does that much vaccum inducate a leak? is that the right amount...

vacuum is normal, mine reads 13lbs. As for your power steering, it sounds like you have a leak or maybe a broken hose...

my car is 17vac, downshifts and sudden stops it hits 23vac. For the power stearing pump... chances are its jumped the train to ******** town.

The noise coming from the pump is likely what's LEFT of the bearings grinding themselves into a fine metal dust. It's probably close to toasting itself I'd recommend replacing it ASAP though not having PS pump isn't bad it will merely be REALLY difficult to turn the car while not moving.

needs to be replaced ASAP for the fact that if it is left hooked up and the bearings heat up to a hot enough temp you power stering pump will catch fire i have see it happen on many differant cars. may want to just flush all the fluid while you are at it "everthing in the lines"
