you cant push the piston back by hand unless your like hulk hogan. Sebba when was the last time you did brakes? All the brakes I have EVER done you NEED a C clamp to close the pistons in and the more worn your pads are the worse it is. Evo on my Evo they are brand SPANKIN new caliper like seriouls a week old and nope cant go back by hand......... maybe only if you leave the resivour open you can but then youll need to bleed the line again since you let air back in

all i know is when i replaced them on my elantra i struggled to push the piston in even with a clamp it was so stuck. But if you guys said you did it with your hands i believe you. I just know ive never been able to do it.
