None of those mods are serious HP increases... But if he was stock with extra weight... I see what you mean. You have a T25 Id imagine?

If the car you raced was stock (minus FMIC), then that guy is an idiot for even putting that IC on. There's enough of a pressure loss with stock piping and IC...to add larger piping and a larger IC makes that stock turbo push even harder....blah, think of blowing a spitball out of a straw, then think of trying to blow that same spitball out of a hose sized straw. How red would your face get blowing out of that hosed size straw.

GstFat, your only advantage in your list is your intake. Your fuel upgrades are minimal and is limited by the stock injectors and stock fpr. You're only one step off the stock lines. The guy you raced was one step back from the stock lines.
I'm not trying to offend you GstFat, I'm trying to help you see the setup both of your cars have in terms of advantage/disadvantage.

So , yes, like I originaly had said, its more than likely the other guy had a problem... do you know him? Why put a FMIC on an even otherwise stock T25?

dont upgrade the ic until you have a big turbo, and try to look for a short pipe ic kit (hint, dont go with greddy)
looking at your mod list I see you took a non typical path.
id suggest getting these before anything else: (assuming you dont have them yet)

-upper ic pipe
-boost controller
-exhaust (catback, downpipe, high flowcat)

I agree. I went with the short route for the same reason you're thinking.

GstFat, that path that DSMTalonAWD51 stated is the typical path because it's in line for future mods and is in somewhat of a chronological order.
I realize that you may have gotten your car modded that way already, but the suggested path is better than piecing things together here and there.
