what year is your car?

most of them have the fuel filter in the engine compartment mounted to the firewall, but some of the 96-98's have them mounted on the fuel tank.

It's behind your battery on the passenger side of the car...Also, I have a 95, and that's where it's located...Not on the fuel rail...They're a bitch to get off to. I eventually figured it out, but if you don't know what you're doing, you will snap the fuel line to the tank...I've done it, haha.

You have a turbo model, the non turbo model(esi) is located on the fuel rail.
