Default fuel filter location

Hey guys, i remember there being a post not to long ago about this but i couldn't find it. on a 99 eclips GS, where is the fuel filter located?? and anybody have any idea what it takes to get to it and change it?

Behind the passanger rear tire. Its takes some formula pb, two wrenches on both sides of the filter, and some resistance to gas in the face. Other than that its cake.

this is what it looks like under the car.

Btw make sure you depressurise the fuel like before you take the lines apart.

Use either the shrader valve on the end of the fuel rail... or the less messy remove the back seat, idle the car in the drive way and while its running unhook the relay for the fuel pump and let the car stall, thats what I did, it worked fine.

And yes their is a chance that was soaking in sea water when I got the car it was full of sand so I am assuming that it was some chicks beach car.

thats wierd cuz my talon came the same way. There must be some sort of secret dsm beach that we are unaware of. LOL

i always wonder how the hell some cars get so rusted. But the guy i bought my car off of said he only really used it as a weekend car. I guess that should have been my hint as to when he went to this beach
