Gen 2 Spyder GS shifting issues
Ok heres is all the info so there is no guesswork...
I have a 1998 Spyder (f4a23) tranny giving me issues. The original failure was torque converter which caused severe overheating in tranny and complete destruction of the Sun gear and Planet set assembly. The transmission was completely rebuilt. The valve body was taken apart and reassembled after cleaning. solonoids were Ohm tested. pulse generators replaced due to broken wire. New torque converter installed. new seals and clutches as well...
Now, car goes into gear and drives, but has no power on take off and does NOT shift (outside of 2 times). Reverse works as well, with a feel similar to forward gear (kinda like a slipping clutch in a manual) Check engine code is P1750, solonoid assembly, which was professionally rebuilt. Fluid is good. does not leak. Also, MOST of the time, when you put it into first gear, it locks up and shuts off. Reverse always works. Im lost at this point. Any help will do. Thanks.
