I have a 2002 montero sport 3.5 4speed auto that had the axle spline strip on the transfer case. We purchased a new one from the junk yard and now the it won't shift correctly. It goes from 1st to 3rd only under pushing the gas really hard. The Neutral light flashes and it throws the P0720 and P0720pb i believe code, which is the speed output sensor. We put the old speed output sensor in it and it still does the same thing. We were really gentle with the wiring as well so there shouldn't be any broken wires. Using a test light, there is voltage going back to the speed output sensor. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you in advance, Drtracer
