As the title suggests, I want to buy a '97, '98, or '99 GSX, and I am seeking advice from those who have bought and owned any one of these cars.

There's no shortage of used Eclipses here in Texas, but I would like to know what kinds of things I should be looking out for when I'm choosing which one to buy. Like what kind of mileage should I be looking for? What price range is reliable? And is it a good idea to purchase a car that has some aftermarket modifications already, or is it best to buy something bone stock? It would even be helpful to know how you went about buying a used Eclipse (even if it wasn't the exact model I'm looking for).

This will actually be my first car, and I really want to be sure that I make the right choice.
