GM MAF-T
Ok I did a search on this and I've read the MachV post about how it wrks and I kinda understand the concept but I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinions on it form personal experience. Should I go with the GM MAF-T? If so the 3" or 3.5"? Thanks guys

RE: GM MAF-T
i say dont do it. Its not worth it jsut to hear some more noise. Or if you are going for alot of power, but in that case its better just to go standalone. Ive heard that its a PITA to tune with as well.

RE: GM MAF-T
^^^ agreed. The only reason I can think of for someone to do the GM MAF "upgrade" is if they are hitting fuel cut because their MAF can't calibrate correctly with theamount of air you are pushing, and if you are running an eclipse GS or RS, you don't have that problem unless you swapped to a 4g63t. So let us know why you were considering this...

RE: GM MAF-T
The Maf-t is a little sensitive, but as long as you have patience its not that bad. Its even easier if you're using another system as well. For example, I have an safc as well, so I had to set my injector size, adjust my idle, and then just tune it the rest of the way with the safc.

RE: GM MAF-T
my question is why would you want one at all? just to deal w/ the pain of having to retune when it rains to heara sound? when you recirc you still hear it, why do you want the rest of the world to hear it?

RE: GM MAF-T
Its not the sound that I was interested in. It was the choice of bov and restriction. The GM maf is less restrictive than the stock 2g maf and it can meter more air more efficiently and I wanted a tial BOV. It really isn't sensitive like that. its just sensitive when you initially tune it. Once you're done, you're done. Hope that helped have a good night everyone
