i just baught a 95 awd talon tsi, 510 injectors evo 16g turbo, no boost controller and its only running 6 pounds, is that normal??? or is it cuz it still has the stock bov?

could be the bov, does it have any tuning devices, a upgraded fuel pump??

 

Even with stock bov you should be at least stock boost, are you going by stock boost guage or is it aftermarket?

 

Blow off valve is more than likely the culpret.

Or a boost leak

 

So i'm assuming you have no boost controllers or tuning devices on the car at all?
You should deifinitley invest in an mbc and safcII (thats just what i've caught as the general idea since being on this site. lol)

 

It ould be running off of the waistgate spring. if it never even spike higher than 6 or7

 

If it is only using the WG, then I would reconnect the tubing to the BCS, he'd at least be at stock levels.

..but it does sound like a boost leak to me too.

 

if you are going by the stock boost gauge in the dash theyre not accuarate. mine tells me 10psi when im acutally boosting 18.

 

the only thing it has done to it is wat i mentioned previously, and a bigger fuel line stock size pump tho, and i havent really looked for a leak i was gonna wait till i get a diff bov to see if that helps, but yes i got an aftermarket boost guage

You don't look for a leak by just eyeballing it, you have to use a boostleak tester. You are pressurizing the intercooler piping and spraying the joints with soapy water while looking for bubbles. You can perform a BLT anytime and it doesn't take that long to do it either.
