Default Greedy BOV

I have a greddy BOV. Turning it to the right hardens it. Turning it to the left softens it.I turned it all the way to both sides and feel or hear nothing different. Whats the difference and how should I keep it?

I would just keep it in the middle. The sounds really wont change all that much. What that is for is when it will open and how much pressure will cause it to open. The problem with too loose is it will blow off more often than you probably want it. And the problem with too stiff is it may not blow off enough and may cause compressor surge where the air gets by the BOV and backs up into the compressor housing (not good) so id stick with the middle. Also you are recirculating it correct?
