Sounds like the ball joint or something to that effect. My friens 95TSi did that and he waited on it and ended up haveing to replace the axel and controll arm

If you are sure it isn't the brakes, you should try repacking or replacing your wheel bearings. Frontwheel drive cars are rough of everything up there because they take all the stresses from braking, cornering, accelerating, etc.

Check your CV joints as well. Is it only when you turn one direction?

Check to make sure nothing is rubbing your tire/rim... Make sure there isnt anything in there that could hit it...

Thats what I meant...Wheel bearings ...not the Ball joint

Like I said check the CVs the ball joints, the rod ends while you have it in the air for the bearings. Might as well make certain just in case something else is there that needs help better to know about it now than find out when it fails right?

The faster you get it checked the better. ive seen too many cars with broke ball joints tie rod ends sitting on the side of the road with three tires pointing one way and one going somewhere else. Bad sight indeed.

I've even seen a car with 3 wheels one way the fourth lying flat under the car with the transaxle still connected to it.
