well theres dude selling one on this forum for cheap real cheap all it needs it the starter replaced maybe you should get that one

i kept looking and eventually found a completely stock 96 gsx with 55k miles on it for 5500. only a 6 hour drive from my house too.

wow.... that's one hell of a deal!!! when you go to look at it/test drive, check for any sticking of the clutch and any ticking or clicking under the hood, those are the 2 major signs of crankwalk that the 2gT is so nitorious for... but good luck
