Default Gs-T and Southern California?

Hey Guys-

I am new to the forum so thanks for having me.

I am getting ready to buy a 95-99 gst and wanted to know are there any great shops in southern cali that specialize in the car or shops that you guys trust really well? Most of the eclipses that i see have around 110k miles so i will prolly get a rebuild when i first get it.

Thanks, alot

It depends on what type of Eclipse your looking for. If you want a GSX or GST, your best bet is in San Diego. I bought my 99 GSX from San Diego with only 72,000 miles on it. I live in Riverside so I had to drive about 2 hours down there, but well worth it.

A lot of mods on DSM's you can do yourself with basic tools and tons of guides out there for part installs, you can come here for help to. If your dont feel comfortable installing them yourself then there should be tons of shops in cali for you to go to.

well first off, what is your goal w/ the car? hp goal, quarter mile goal and/or budget. you can make ur 2g gst or gsx 350whp for about 2 grand and do just about everything yourself with common sense and general knowlege for free. the only thing you may have to have done is the wiring if your wideband (which is very easy anyways) wiring of your tuning device (safcII, dsm link - recomended),tuningand possibly a clutch. other than that everything else is bolt-on.
