Default has nothing to do with eclipse but thought it was weird

so me and a ffriend of mine were going to longview... it's a town around where i live, it's around 30 miles away, we get half way, and all of a sudden we hear this loud pop. almost like a firecracker going off in the car, we wonder if it's the tires, and they're fine. so we keep driving figuring something had hit the underneath. well we're driving speakers are off, just talking, and we hear this crackling, like someone folding up paper. We pull over and look at the rear window, it's cracking into thousands of peices, no point of impact, nothing, the only thing we can figure out is just a change in pressure or something.

Being new to Mitsubishi cars, I was reading this website called http://www.mitsubishisucks.com/, and out of the hundreds of complaints I read on there that thats not uncommon. The sunroof/moonroof also suddenly shattered according to these reports.

it could have something to do with the frame twisting, either when you were going around a bend, or if you hit a bump or something. i know there are certain spots on the eclipse that can prove fatal to the windsheilds if used to jack up your car with. maybe you hit that bump just right or something
