Hey guys.... Ive been kinda keepin you updated along with my problems and getting some good info. I just did a bit of work to the car. I changed valve seals, put on new TB kit, prothane mounts all aroound. and was hoping To start it up today and rock and roll!
well as it turns out. I put the bloody thing back together and fired her up and it really idles crappy! and i mean bad. It seems to have a up and down slight pattern. Also it gets like a bug zapper/ clicking noise comming out of what soudns like the valve cover but more into the injectors area. I checked the wires and thats not the problem. (this did not happen before i ripped into it) Im thinking i screwed something up. All vac lines have been checked. When I did the TB everything aligned just fine with dowels pointing up. Oil pump is aligned fine.
Im thinking i screwed the timing up or something and injectors are making noise. If i touch the throttle a little bit its fine. Runs great. If I let go same problem. I thought the Cam position sensor might be in backwards (didnt pay attention when i pulled it out) so i tried flipping it, it did not change anything.
could it be possible the crank position sensor is out of whack? Im really stumped here..... I assume there is no way to adjust timing in this thing is there? all ECu controlled?

once again im going out on a whim. if it is all ECu controlled via O2 Sensor would a bad o2 sensor cause something like this? I had alot of oil blowby via the valve seals before on cyl 3 so the o2 sensor might have gotten alot of oil on it???? also the exhaust mani and turbo came off. just to chekc the turbo and this is how i found valve seal to be gone. ??? anyone have any ideas as where to look next? Would like more info on crank position sensor and if that can have anything to do with it ? is it possible to put in backwards?
