Sorry just found this thread. I also have my sub hooked up threw the back speakers. threw a little converter box that has rca jacks on it. Wire's to back speakers then rca jacks to the amp. I only did it this way because my Crappy Xplode dosent have the rca's on the back of the unit. If i were to replace my unit with one that had rca'son the back of it. would my sub be louder?? thanks

probably, you get better sound from RCA's than anything else. so you would probably get a crisper sound and might add some "hidden tones" your rear speakers wont pic up that RCA's will.

Some xplods are cheap now and have the rca option like mine, with an aux input cost me around 99 dlls, you could get something like that if you wish... the rca give out better quality to bass and low tones and makes the unit be able to handle the 2 frequencies on its own.... which means better sound

Yea XPLOD really has gotten some decent heads that go for cheap. Thats what Im usin now with my 2 kicker 12"s runnin off a 1200w XPLOD amp thru a scosche 1600w cap. I've never been happier with my sound system. Next up: I'm stealin my father's HD head unit if he dont want it! (like that'll happen )
