no, there is a seal for the oil pan that goes around the lip, i dont think sealent will hold well

what seal should i use?and the seal goes in between the gasket and the pan and also in between the block and the other side of the gasket?

i think all you NEED is between the block and the gasket... but i guess it wouldnt hurt to put it between the gasket and the pan

Dude... you hit a freakin rock in the middle of the road, there is nothing else that it can hit that would spew out oil
