the heavier a car is, the less removing weight helps, and gsx's are fat. Replacing seats solely for weight reduction isnt going to help much if any. Id say only replace the seats if you are the type that thinks racing seats are 'cool'. Shaving a couple hundred pounds on gsx's definitely helps, but you are going to have to start removing interior, carpeting etc an it isnt really gonna be much of a street car anymore.
My advice: focus on the engine first
If you want to make weight reductions do it areas that affect rotational intertia like a lightened flywheel and lighter wheels (gsx wheels are HEAVY)
and thatl help you rev/accelerate much quicker
