I remember a while back there was some thread discussing something about 3" exhausts and how they fowl the o2 sensor quick and cause the CEL. I cant remember who it was that had the idea, but they said you could buy something like nuts or something from a hardware store and it extends the o2 sensor away from the pipe. I dunno, i cant remember what the trick was, but if that was you, or anyone has a trick to get my o2 sensor to not fail, let me know, i want to put my 3" on soon!

yeah. 3"=CEL. But someone on here said there was some kind of trick to avoid it.

or you could just get an O2 sim. That should get rid of the CEL

 

i just bought the o2 sensor, so i dont want to just shelf it. Im fine with buying a couple of bolts, if itll do the job.

 

well what about a 1G. i know there's only 1 o2 sensor right after the turbo. so 3" wont cause any code right. i think im right, but want to be sure.

 

why does a 3" downpipe cause the CEL to come on? Thats gay.
