Incredible! I have exactly the same problem with the '92 GS. It may be a problem with the button, maybe it doesnt hold...but it could be a short circuit or something...heck i dont know bout electronics.

you could buy a new button, or wire the fog lights to a toggle switch that you can turn on and off when you want... take the button apart and see it a clip is broken... could be as simple as that...

I took one apart and did not notice any burnt components. What I did notice was a hook that appears is supposed to latch onto something within the plastic but does not. Otherwise, I do not know what the metal hook is for except to tear up the plastic from within. Can anyone tell me if you push the switch if it supposed to only release part way or fully just as if I were turning it off? I really do not think it matters, but I have put 2 switches on my car now from a junk yard and they both do not work. I have turned serveral more off and on but they seem to release the full amount either way and I am not sure if that is normal.

its the fog light button. The button has a little plastic piece inside of it that holds the button down. Over time it snaps and you need a new switch. It takes 5 minutes to install. I bought a new fog light switch from mitsubishi for around 50 bucks.
