Hey guys. As most of you guys know, I put on my Big 16G turbo already. But i still have my stock turbo. I pulled it out around 125,000 miles. Yeah... thats quite a bit. But it still pulls good and its in great shape. How much do you guys think I should sell it or how much do you guys think I can get for it?

 

If it has no shaft play you could pawn it off to a 420a guy who is building a turbo setup for 200 or soemthing to that extent.

 

no shaft play? Supid little question. What exactly is shaft play? Its in great condition. So $200?

 

If you look inside the compressor housing or even the hot dside of the turbo their is a bolt in the center of the compressor wheel. That bolt is connected to a shaft, if you grab that bolt and are able to wiggle it then it has shaft play. This basically means that it needs a 90 dollar rebuild kit.

 

Dont be foolish. You can get a 14b for that. The T-25 is like at max 100 bucks

 

Thats all turbos are??? **** i was thinking they were big money. So these kits, what the hell are you paying for? the tubing? seems backwards to me..but o well..thats good news for me i guess since im making everything and just need the turbo.

 

well in the kits, you get new parts so a new 16g is like 500-600

 

price all depends on what turbo you want. The reason a used t25 is so cheap is supply and demand. Most people dont really buy the stock turbo and if people are building a turbo setup noone really uses that one. Thats why its so cheap. Plus you can get them just about anywhere. Everyone is always selling there's. Id say around 100
